Local Teen, Merritt Tyson, is part of Molo Africa

Merritt Tyson, a local teenager and ambassador for Smart Teens, a program that assists teenagers with life and other skills, was recently selected to be part of the Molo Africa team of 20 teens that built the Molo Africa plane.

The concept is that two teen pilots, Megan Werner and Ntando Makwela, will fly a sling plane all the way from Cape to Cairo this December (2018) .

The plane build was completed last week in Eikenhof, with a group of senior engineers supervising the 20-strong team as they built. They lived, ate and slept the plane-build over the two weeks that it took.

Now that the plane is built, Megan and Ntando and their support teams are looking for sponsors to help them finish this remarkable feat.

The link to the video Merritt took on site is available below.
